Hi, my name is Carolyn Johnson, now Holloway. I am originally from Chicago, IL, but I spent 27 years of my adult life in Dallas, TX.

I am the daughter of Nathaniel Johnson, who is the son of Maggie Mary Metcalf (aka “Doll”), who is the daughter of the original reason we started these wonderful family get-togethers in the first place, Mary Hill Metcalf.

I retired from Fannie Mae (not the candy company, the housing one!) after 21½ years of service. I worked with the Valuation Team, where we worked with appraisers who determined the value of homes in the foreclosure division. I have shifted gears and am now working as an Administrative Coordinator for my church.

Ever since I turned 40, I have wanted to become more involved with my family. So, in 2010, I was the one who brought you all to the good old state of Texas, and I had the pleasure of hosting the reunion. It truly was a labor of love for me.

Now, I am trying this one more time with the assistance of my wonderful cousin, Terrilyn Johnson. And I want you all to understand one thing: It’s about the HUGS for me!

One fun fact about me is that I LOVE music of all kinds, some more than others. Back in the day, I was a DJ/Radio Personality for a few small stations in Mississippi and Texas.

So, family, I hope you are ready for some fun in the sun. Let’s get beachy!
