Whattup MCJ, hope 2017 finds you and your family well and blessed in the new year. All good from New Orleans, home of NBA Allstar 2017, and home of MCJ 2018 right after our exciting MCJ cruise to the Bahamas this year, 2017.
Our main man Will Simon from Milwaukee has an exciting event planned for us aboard the Carnival Victory over Labor Day weekend Sept. 1-3, 2017 as we embark on a completely new experience for our family reunion. I know that we won't be at 100% attendance and that is regrettable but we're none the less excited about the choice made by a majority vote in Dayton at MCJ 2016.
If you're asked about how you plan to celebrate Labor Day 2017 and for whatever reason you're not planning to be on the cruise, by all means give your input regarding how you might plan to celebrate.
Having said that, we'll check in with Will to have him send a letter that covers the expected itinerary in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. for the upcoming 2017 MCJ Reunion Cruise. Be advised, although the activities are packed, it'll be the cruise activities that will preoccupy us and not the reunion format of events we're used to. We'll check to see if there are facilities on the ship and times that allow at least one private meeting for our group.
As for 2018, we're back baby! And nobody throws a party like New Orleans. We thought about it and as you recall we considered hosting the family reunion in another location besides New Orleans because of hurricane season. But we decided that we'd play the odds of not having a catastrophic weather event along with the fact that we have a strong attraction right here in New Orleans so it's the Big Easy for 2018!!
That's all for now, we'll be getting an update from Will about MCJ 2017. From the desk of the president, love to you and your family.
