Deceased MCJ Family Members

It is with sadness that we report on two MCJ family members lost this week. Earnest Collins of Kansas City, Mo. and Robert Earl Hollis of Detroit, Michigan passed this week of various complications.

Earnest Collins of Kansas City was 91 years old. He was in recent years reunited with his childhood sweetheart Ella Mae Braxton Holden of Atlanta Georgia. She was his soulmate in the last several years and care giver in his illness over the last year. He was in Atlanta when he died but the funeral will be held in Kansas City on Friday November 17th. Official obituary and more detailed information will be forthcoming.

Robert Earl, who was the sibling of Peggy Owens Lee and Pearl Askew respectively died on Monday Oct. 30th. He had a number of ailments and ultimately had multiple organ failure. He was 72 years old. He was the middle child of R.C. Hollis and Lueora Collins Hollis. Official obituary and services information will be forthcoming. Arrangements to be made by Pearl Askew.
