Matriarch Reaches Milestone

Greetings MCJ Family from Bessie Lee Scurlock (Collins) family.

Bessie Scurlock (Collins) presently living in Charleston, MS is the last living child (out of 9 siblings, second from the youngest) of Lane and Ida Bell Collins. Bessie Scurlock is turning 96 years old on her birthday Sunday, June 30, 2019.

Mom’s physical health is very well. Mom’s memory impairment leads to good days and poor days, but, all her days are filled with optimism, love and laughter from her children, family and friends. We feel so blessed to still have mom with us.

Our thanks and appreciation goes out to you all for your thoughtfulness, and to many of you who keep in close touch with her we want you to know how uplifting that is for mom and family.
