I'm going to Kansas City, Kansas City here I come... Our family will be singing that song for the next year because MCJ is Kansas City bound Sept. 4-6, 2020! And while that song is stuck in your head just remember that this will be the year that we break all the records!
That's right, we want the highest attendance, the most fun, the greatest, best, well, you get the point. We just want to outdo ourselves until we can't do any more. So here's the plan to make MCJ 2020 Kansas City the only place in the world that you want to be over the Labor Day weekend next year.
First, we want to accommodate you in a very upscale and comfortable setting for a very non-upscale price at the fabulous Embassy Suites in the heart of the city on the world famous Country Club Plaza. We have excellent MCJ room rates of 139.00/night for doubles and 149.00/night for kings so please use this link to book your rooms.
Tell everybody to book their rooms early (now) because for the first 60 rooms booked you'll automatically be entered into a drawing for a free stay for the weekend, how about that!
I'll go into the hotel amenities a bit later but trust me Embassy Suites treat their guests very well for sure. Before leaving the subject of the hotel we'll also let you know that we're using our newly acquired NPO (non profit organization) status to deliver additional savings to family members by earning exemption from paying the state sales tax portion of your bill. That means the 8% state sales tax you'd normally pay for your rooms will stay in your pocket, how about that!
Here's a quick outline of the weekend activities. Friday meet & greet, Saturday picnic/barbeque, Sunday Banquet. Sounds pretty standard right, but its the details that will make it extremely memorable!
Friday Meet and Greet - The Embassy Suites has gifted us with our own corner of the lobby to get the party started and we'll be setting out some serious eats and beverages to kick things off with a bang.
Saturday KC's Finest Bar-BQ Picnic - If its one thing KC is known for it's barbeque so lose those pounds now because the feast is on!
Sunday Church Service & MCJ Banquet - After morning worship, a sumptuous buffet, check. An entertaining and fun filled program, check. Scholarship Awards for the kids, handling our financial business, setting things up for 2021, check all the boxes!
