The Passing of a Generation

Greetings MCJ Family. Our first outreach of 2020 carries sad news. One of our family matriarchs Bessie Lee Scurlock passed away peacefully on Sunday January 5th at home in Charleston, Mississippi surrounded by family. Services will be held on Tuesday January 14th at 1:00 p.m. at Newtown Baptist Church in Charleston. Visitation begins at noon. Repast will take place immediately following burial at Newtown Reception Hall next to the church. Aunt Bessie was the last remaining offspring of Lane Lee Collins & Ida Bell Metcalf Collins. Prayers are requested.
