Condolences for Family Member

Hello family. Many of you probably already heard the news of the passing of Peter Jackson, the father of Francyetta (Fran) Seward, and Myra Jackson of Memphis, Tennessee. Peter was 71 years of age and had been in declining health for several months before passing on Oct. 22, 2022 after a sudden onset of Leukemia.

Peter was born in Memphis, TN on September 23, 1951 to father Mairon Jackson Sr. and Florine Hobbs-Jackson who have both preceded him in death. He was the oldest of two children. He graduated from Hamilton High and went on to serve in the U.S. Army at the age of 18. He then returned to Memphis, TN and made it his lifelong home. Peter owned a couple of businesses, including a bail bonds company, which was his favorite. He retired from Bally's Casino where he was a Pit Boss and dealer. His free time was spent either fishing or working on the family farm in Como, MS. Peter is survived by his sister Myra "Jill" Jackson-White (David White) of Mandeville, LA and his four children. He was married but later divorced, and from this union has two daughters, Francyetta Seward and Myra Jackson, both of Memphis. He has a daughter, Constance Gipson, of Marshall County and son, David Jackson, also of Memphis. He has two grandchildren, Stephen David Seward Il of Memphis and Siera Seward-Rivera (Mychal Rivera) of Boca Raton, FL. He has six great-grandchildren, Tatiana Clark, Skyla Seward, Paisley Middleton, Milano Rivera, Mazzi Rivera, and Morocco Rivera. He also has a nephew, David White Jr. (Grace White) of New Orleans, LA and niece Dominique White of California. Peter leaves to cherish all his great memories and laughter to a host of close relatives and friends. Arrangements are pending.
