Hola family, hope all is well. We have many positive things to share in this post, namely an incredible MCJ success story, and an update on MCJ Reunion 2022. So, let's get right to the subject of our blog post, dreams come true.
Imagine if you will discovering at an early age that you have a passion for something like cooking, and that you have a family structure, grandmother, mom, sisters, all of whom support and nurture your love for the thing you're most passionate about. You pursue that passion with such dedication that you study at an internationally acclaimed institute of cuisine in Paris and begin to launch a career as a chef and author. You then carve out a unique culinary style that celebrates the down home traditions of southern soul food while also exploring new interpretations, flavors, and styles of cooking. And after garnering considerable industry respect, national media attention and success in a variety of festivals, presentations, and demonstrations you have enough resources, relationships and gravitas to launch your very own restaurant.
Our cousin, Chef Jennifer Hill Booker is poised to realize her lifelong dream of owning her very own restaurant soon and we couldn't be more proud of her for achieving this very significant accomplishment. Read all about it here Bauhaus Biergarten- and join me in congratulating Chef Jen on this amazing business and professional milestone.
We're heading into the month of June and that means the MCJ 2022 Reunion is just over 3 months away. This year as you know we are planning a 3 day Cruise to the Bahamas on Royal Caribbean for our reunion. Our hosts, Will & Dee Simond have been updating us on the progress and planning and here is Will's latest post about the cruise.
Good day MCJ Family, I hope everyone's day is going good. Here is the cruise update. I am not going to mention June 19, 2022 today because we all know what that day represents which is the deadline for all payments on your cruise balance. I hope everyone read my post about the transportation from Orlando to Port Canaveral and the hotel that I think will be good for us. Right now airline prices are crazy but I hope they go down soon. If anyone has any questions don't hesitate to call me at 414-841-8466 or text me, duo me, or email me at wsjent@gmail.com. You get the drift you can reach me with your questions. I talked to Royal Caribbean today and everything is set we have 29 cabins on Deck 8. So I hope to see everyone on the Lido Deck for the sail away party.
As we recommend when you cruise you should always go a day early because I myself do not trust the airlines. I am going to use a service called Go Port. I have checked their options and for 2 people you can stay at the Double Tree in Orlando and get transportation from the airport to the hotel and on friday transportation from the hotel to Port Canaveral and when we return transportation from the port to the airport. For those who did not know Port Canaveral is about 45 minutes to an hour from Orlando. The price for all of this is $279 and for 4 people $316. This is the service that I will be using and I recommend that you should too. The website is goport.com and it is the Fly Snooze Cruise Package. Any question call, text, or email me.
That's about it family, positive good news about family members doing great things and the latest MCJ Family Reunion 2022 Cruise update.
Be blessed,
MCJ Family Reunion
