Hello Family, hope you're all good on this wonderful spring afternoon. As you've noticed we try to utilize the MCJ blog and email newsletter for a variety of news, information and updates relative to our family. In this edition of the MCJ blog, we'll share a great story of how a deceased family member's legacy continues through a memorial scholarship established in her name at the University of Mississippi. Plus, a brief update for our MCJ 2021 reunion is also included in this blog.

You may recall a post from October 2016 reporting the passing of a beloved family member, Lynnette Johnson Ivy (pictured above left). In a subsequent post, we reported that her employer, (University of Mississippi) had set up a scholarship in her honor to benefit a worthy student with financial assistance to attend the University of Mississippi majoring in Communications. Lynette was formerly part of the faculty in the dept. of Communications at Ole Miss. Lynette's legacy will live on through the awarding of the Dr. Lynnette J. Ivy Scholarship and we're pleased to report the latest recipient of the scholarship, Miss Nasia Thompson (pictured above left). Isn't that truly inspiring! Such great stories in our MCJ family!

This is the perfect time to offer this reminder. If anyone in our family has good news to share please write it up and forward to me. Provide as many details as possible but don't let let any concerns about it not being complete or perfectly worded, I'll help with that. This is the family's forum and we should all be willing to share good news and yes even sometimes not so good news. Plus please, please encourage every family member to log on to the MCJ website at www.mcjfamilies.com and register for access to the website. That does two things, it ensures you automatically receive each and every MCJ newsletter via email and you can easily go to the website to catch up on the latest MCJ news.
