Prayers for Memphis Family

Hello family. It's mid-winter and everyone in the north, east and midwest is doing their best to stay warm and out of the snow. Hope you and the family are doing okay. We have news to share about our family in Memphis, Tennessee.

This information relates to the Collins branch of MCJ which in Memphis means that you begin with Spencer Collins, then to his daughter Betty Collins Anderson, and on to her daughter Cindy Houston. Cindy suffered a stroke recently and is recovering. Understandably her speech was effected, but that will improve with therapy as will the weakness on her right side. Tragically, the news is much worse for her sister Tracey Davenport, who upon hearing of the medical event suffered by her sister Cindy, passed out and was rushed to the hospital. None of the medical interventions were able to revive her and she passed on Feb.24, 2022.

Arrangements are pending, we will share when available. Meanwhile, Cindy is still in the hospital recovering.

Separately, but also in Memphis, Myra, Wilma Collins daughter was in a serious auto accident several weeks ago and did not realize she needed medical treatment initially. Sometime later she experienced illness and was hospitalized with bleeding on the brain. She underwent brain surgery and is recovering. Although she continues to experience nausea, medical authorities expect a successful recovery.

Please keep our entire family in your prayers for a safe recovery, and comfort for grieving our lost loved one.
