Thanksgiving...In the Bubble

Greetings MCJ family, hope all is well with you and your families. Seems like a long time ago when we last communicated on Labor Day weekend. We have a new president, yay! Coronavirus is raging again, boo! And here we are just days from probably our biggest holiday that we normally celebrate with family and we're strongly advised to stay within our immediate family bubble.
Very strange and trying times we're in where we instantly recognize terms like in the bubble, (interacting only with the immediate family members you live with or are around on a daily basis to avoid exposure to the virus). Complete and total bummer, but what can you do but try your best to keep your family safe. With that being said, there is a way that we can all uplift our collective spirits and be safe at the same time!
How can that be done you ask? Well, virtually via zoom of course, and with as many twists as our creative minds can come up with. Brilliant! So here's how it can work. First, prepare your thanksgiving feasts as you normally would but make a special effort to visually showcase on camera one or two of your favorite dishes and recipes during the call so we can all vicariously enjoy your culinary excellence. Next, be sure your schedule for Thanksgiving morning includes at least an hour set aside for our MCJ Thanksgiving Zoomfest beginning at 10:30 a.m. central time. And lastly, put on your thinking caps and come up with different ideas of how we can make this Thanksgiving virtual get together a fun-filled and exciting experience for all. Every person on the call will get the chance to share with the group, whether its just what their thankful for or the great meals we'll all be consuming after the call.
